In Argentina, the field of Punitive Damages came into force in 2008 with the reform of Consumer Law whereas in the USA Punitive Damages have been applied for more than 200 years. That is why it’s very important to understand how Punitive Damages work in the USA, all its relevant precedents, researches and empirical studies really matter to us. So this is why we will be discussing «Punitive Damages in the US and Argentina» from a practical and empirical view in the next academic meeting.»
